Branch Series C Announcement

 

The Problem: Branch had an exciting Series C funding announcement coming up, but didn’t have many creative assets for the PR launch.

The Action: I led a live action shoot with the CEO and an animated explainer video on an accelerated timeline.

The Result: In less than three weeks, I shipped a full package of videos for their PR, including an announcement video, a series of animated videos, thank you videos for their partners, and a footage montage for the media.

 

Developing high-quality content fast

Branch had a striking visual identity and a remarkable brand story. The thing they didn’t have? A large library of video assets that told their story. With their Series C announcement coming up rapidly, they needed a partner that could help them with both live action and animation production, and fast.

 

We developed and shipped 15 video deliverables from start to finish on a timeline of less than 3 weeks.

 

Building the content strategy

I built a content strategy to maximize the value Branch got from their investment in production.

For the live action component, the request was relatively simple: film CEO Steve Lekas reading a scripted announcement. Since we already had a crew out capturing footage, I built a strategy to help them get as much content as possible. We conducted an interview with the CEO, gathered B-Roll, and planned additional deliverables from the scripted content. This allowed us to ship video deliverables for media coverage to to celebrate Branch’s partners.

On the animation side, we created a beautiful :90 explainer video to go alongside press coverage that explained Branch’s mission and product. But we also developed shorter videos that were optimized for performance marketing, built for various channels.
